Owner

Thank you for visiting South Shore Millwork’s website. I wanted to take some time to tell you about my background so you can better understand who we are as a company and what we stand for.

In the beginning

As a child, I liked cutting wood on my father’s jigsaw. When I saw what I built, I felt great! Years later, I chose a school where I could hone my skills and prepare for a career in custom woodwork.

I attended Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, majoring in cabinetmaking. Shortly after graduation, I worked as an antique furniture refinisher and manufacturer. I then moved on to a few architectural millwork shops before deciding to go out on my own. With my wife Sue’s support, South Shore Millwork in Norton, Massachusetts was born in 1991!

Before I knew it, we had 10 talented woodworkers, then 30, 50, and now over 70 employees. That growth is a direct result of our team’s commitment to provide both an incredible product and outstanding customer service.

I am personally involved in every hire, ensuring each person has the same work ethic, talent, and strong customer focus.

Today

South Shore Millwork would not be celebrating its 23rd year without the incredible 70-plus person team of craftsmen, engineers, installers, project managers, and administrative personnel. These individuals are the reason our high-end customers keep coming back, and why they refer their friends, families, and business associates. To learn more about them, please take a moment to read their bios.

This past summer we started adding 47,000 additional square feet to our existing 33,000-square-foot, climate-controlled shop. Our facility will include a newly designated area for commercial projects, increased space for residential work, and more efficiency in manufacturing. As always, South Shore Millwork will continue to blend time-honored woodworking techniques with the latest advances in technology. Additionally, we will be installing a solar array on top of the millwork shop, and a solar array field on the grounds in the rear.  We are really excited to be gaining greater energy independence through the world’s cleanest energy – solar.

Our specialty – our customers

I would say our specialty is two-fold: providing an outstanding customer experience, coupled with incredibly beautiful woodwork. We cater to the luxury residential and commercial markets. Our staff is adept at taking an idea, a vision, and making it a reality – all while keeping our customers engaged, informed, and happy.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Be sure to check out our work if you have a project you’d like us to review; or, if you’re searching for a career, look at our open positions.
