Our History
South Shore Millwork was started in 1991 by Jeffrey Burton in Norton, MA to manufacture commercial doors and frames. Three years later, the company moved to a 10,000 sq. ft facility on 3 acres in Norton, and expanded its capabilities, moving into manufacturing millwork packages for general contractors and designers, and manufacturing cabinets, stairs, and full woodwork packages. By 2004, we’ve built a loyal customer base and created a niche of manufacturing residential millwork for luxury high-end residential projects.
Today, we reside in a modern 80,000 sq. ft plant, fully air conditioned and humidity controlled. Our building is energy efficient, with a wood grinder to recycle our waste into wood-burning pellets. In addition, we increased the building’s insulation properties and installed our own solar farm, which produces 100% of our electrical needs.
After 30 years, our core philosophy hasn’t changed. We continue manufacturing exceptional products and providing the same exceptional service South Shore Millwork was built upon.
